Mumbai: In a moving act of love and medical bravery, a 25-year-old doctor in Mumbai donated part of her liver to save her critically ill father, setting a powerful example of family devotion and healthcare excellence. The successful living donor liver transplant was led by Dr Swapnil Sharma, Consultant – Liver Transplant & GI Surgeon at Wockhardt Hospital, Mumbai Central.
The recipient, a 58-year-old working professional from Wadala, was suffering from decompensated chronic liver disease, a terminal condition where the liver loses its ability to function.
